2009 Mad Bastard Scooter Rally – 19, 20, 21 June

The Mad Bastard Rally is an 800 km scooter ride through great Canadian scenery all the while collecting as many "mad" points that you can along the way! There are different classes depending on the size of the scooter (see below), which determines the time you have to complete the rally.

Mad points are awarded for various acts of madness, both set by us and created by yourself for being an imaginative (mad) bastard. For example, in 2005 we awarded points for "getting naked on the ferry". The results ranged from a picture of a picture from a skin mag, to some participants getting totally naked themselves. We also awarded points for costume worn, the best of the 2005 event being a clown's outfit!

The important bits:

What? a 24-hour scooter endurance rally
When? June 19 to 21, 2009
Where? start location … somewhere in Ontario, Canada
Distance? approximately 800 kms
Why? 'cause you ‘re a mad bastard ... with a scooter!
Who?
anyone who’s crazy enough and who registers according to the rally rules
I’m in! How much? Hold on there Spanky, we're a ways away from setting a price, but it'll likely be between $150 and $200 Canadian.

Classes (unconfirmed)

In order to keep the rally open to all scooters but also to keep a level playing field, we've set up a series of classes by engine capacity. The smaller the scoot, the longer the allotted time to complete the course and the more scooter mad points you'll get, but then it's a lot harder to boot ...
