Bastard News

June 11th, 2007

Registration has now closed and we're pleased to announce that we have a total of 55 registered Mad Bastards! We've also updated the route map with a significantly adapted route which is slightly shorter (approx. 660 km) but we are working on an additional (optional) loop of 140 km for the maddest bastards of them all.

If you are a registered Mad Bastard then you will be getting an email with a detailed description of what you'll need for the rally as well as what to expect. If you don't have this by June 12th, then please email us so that we can resend.

Ladies and gentlemen!

Registration closes this Friday - if you haven’t yet registered for the 2007 Mad Bastard Scooter Rally then now is the time to put your respectable sides away and sign up to become a Mad Bastard! As you know this unique rally only happens every two years and registration for participants will be closing on June 1st, 2007!

The website’s been updated with new sponsorships from KYMCO, Yamaha and TN’G Scooters.? We’ve also announced the grand prize – One lucky bastard is going to win a spanking new KYMCO Vitality 50 Scooter, so get ready to ride!

Register online now and join our list of teams before June 1st. Available spots are limited and there are only a few left - don’t delay. Competition is fierce, so tune that scoot and get ready to be as mad as you can for 24 hours of scootering!?

Please note, if you have already registered then you will be receiving a participant information letter shortly.

See you there!

The Ward is open and accepting patients
In order to help participants, would-be riders and the gloaters to communicate with each other, we've set up a forum. Check it out and post a message to other mad bastards (just don't forget to take your tin-foil hat off first).

A rough route
Not the route, the map of the route ... although by about two thirds of the way through, you will be feeling pretty rough and (hopefully) still on the route. All that to say that we've posted a map with the rough route on it.

More Rally Info
We've updated the Rally Info section as well, with some info on the "mad" points system, what you could win with the most of said points (a KYMCO Vitality 50 scooter) as well as some ideas on what you should bring. Well, a digital camera, but we'll add to that section a little later.

KYMCO Provides Grand Prize Scooter!
We’d like to announce KYMCO CANADA as our first official sponsor of the 2007 MBSR. KYMCO has been stellar in their encouragement and support of the CMG Online Mad Bastard Rally Scooter event … and the best part is that they’ll be providing a KYMCO scooter for the grand prize!

Accommodation confirmed
The Rally will be based at the Ramada Inn on The Bay in beautiful downtown Belleville. Check the Rally Info page of this website for more information.

New teams registered!!
Check the latest additions to the List of Teams … they just keep on coming!

Ch, ch, changes
